I love Music.
I believe in open music. I am opposed to corporate music and notions of music as an industry. Fuck the so-called Music Industry. I support independent music makers; I generally only download copyleft/creative-commons/open music. Most corporate-owned music is lackluster and uninspiring. I listen to music to draw inspiration and stimulate my thought processes. Copyrighted music is not for me.
I see the creation of music as a grand conversation between artists. Music has been being copied, remixed, and built upon by musicians, bards and composers alike for thousands of years. Music is a form of expression, and should not be allowed to be owned. I am glad that some sold-out artists are finally discovering the open music world, and thus so are their fans. I hope that someyear soon, we listeners of the world will join as one and completely turn our backs on the corporate music industry, so it withers and dies like the cancer it is.
I operate several internet radio stations, any number of which may be accessable from this website. All songs on said stations are completely free, released under permissive Creative Commons or similar Copyleft licenses. The stations are mostly for personal use, so that I can have access to my tunes while at other people's houses, but, others are welcome to listen too.
